Both composed of two iron plates. The larger plate is worked to simulate overlapping lames, with swallow-tailed border, rolled borders, central ribbing, and brass rivets. The smaller plate, positioned dorsally in relation to the other, is provided with a mounting hole for the breastplate and is hinged to the lower plate. On the reverse, remains of a relatively recent lining and leather strings. At the back, another leather string and a brass buckle. Of the type used in pikeman’s armour.
