height 203 cm.
Cusp-shaped, double-edged blade, ribbed at the centre, featuring perforated lobes at the base and small rests, crescent-shaped axe, downward-curving rear fluke with heart-shaped perforation, other small crescent-shaped rests at the base, before the knot. Ferrule shaped as a truncatedcone, with very short or truncated bands (covered by tassels, not visible). The axe marked “EC” on the front and “1712” and “WF” on the back. Wooden shaft is of much more recent manufacture, of round section, decorated with brass studs and an iron shoe. Command insignia for officers and non-commissioned officers of the modern army.
