length 107,3 cm.
Curved blade, hollow along most of its length and with a thin groove next to the back in the middle section, featuring the remains of the marking “... KNECHT / SOLINGEN” on the tang and with the remains of marks, including a crowned “S.” Inscription and date on the spine: “P. Knecht in Solingen 1832.” Brass hilt featuring three loop-guards, featuring a crowned “S” mark and remains of numbering on the main branch. Short cap. Grip with leather covering (antique?) and brass wire binding. Iron scabbard with two lugs. Slight signs of use and time. Uncommon with the signature of a Solingen swordsmith.
