Straight blade, single-edged with false edge, initially fullered and then of lenticular section; the base engraved and fire-gilt on a blue ground with trophies and floral motifs. Areas showing rust damage. Fire-gilt brass hilt, with langets bearing an anchor beneath a crown on a scaled ground; loop guard. Lion's-head pommel with long faceted backpiece. Ivory grip (with cracks), spirally carved, with metal wire binding. Leather scabbard with gilt-brass mounts; stud with a face.
