Curved damask blade with tip hollowed on the back, featuring a wide fuller that doubles at the weak. On the right side is the dedication: “I Sott'ufficiali del 2° Batt. d'Istruzione al loro Aiutante Maggiore”. At the base, a segment completely inlaid in gold and engraved with flowers, with the inscription “VERO DAMASCO TURCO” (True Turkish Damascus) and “COUPANTLEFEA” (?). The tang is also gilded. Typical iron hilt with a stirrup guard. Brown wooden handle with knurled sections and a long cap. Complete with its iron scabbard with two lugs. Slight pitting on the iron parts (less noticeable on the blade, a little more evident on the scabbard). Uncommon with the dedication.
