Straight, single-and short-false-edged edge blade, with fuller for the first two thirds, then lenticular at the weak, engraved in the first half with flowers and a trophy of spears and flags, as well as the depiction of a bird. Signed and dated “Labruna 1849 / Naples” at the base. Brass mounts with a knuckle guard featuring a raised effigy of a lyre surrounded by leaf decorations on the inside. Long lion's head cap. Guard with central knot. Horn handle with copper wire binding (slightly frayed). Slight play in the guard. Black-stained iron scabbard (one dent), with brass mounts, cap with hook (repaired?). Rare model, enriched by a very fine blade.
