Smoothbore, octagonal, 17 mm cal. barrels, browned, marked "Canon Tordu" and decorated with imperial-style floral motifs and two gold half moons; the central parts are slightly slimmer and the muzzles are decorated in gold with geometric and floral motifs; silver foresight; marked "PLAN / CHET" on the lower part. Tangs engraved with geometric motifs and completely gilded. Flintlocks, rounded lock plates signed "Berthon Bourlier et Fils Aîné" in the centre and "a St. Etienne" below the batterie moka; tangs with half moon between rays (both gilded); beautiful cocks finely carved with floral motifs in high relief on a granulated gold background; sealing pans, gilded and pierced; engraved and gilded batteries provided with anti-friction system. Slightly sculpted wooden full stocks, richly decorated with elegant inlaid floral scrolls along their entire length. Solid silver mounts, richly decorated in high relief with trophies and various half moons, partly gilded. The trigger guard and butt-plate with four marks, a rooster, “CC”, a hound with the number “12” and an old-fashioned face. Bone-tipped, horn ramrods and iron cartridge extractors. In their original wooden case (small defects) with brass mounts, lined with green cloth and provided with all accessories, including the key.
