Nakago-mei: "Hizen-no-kuni Tadayoshi" - "Kore Umetada Myoju no-deshi (apprentice of Umetada Myoju)". One mekugi-ana. Copper habaki, probably laminated in partially browned and gilded silver. In 19th-century koshirae. With small elliptical tsuba in rusty iron decorated in relief with a mountain landscape partially silver and copper inlaid. Fuchi and Kashira in rusty iron (pitting), gold inlaid with paulownia decorations (missing parts at the inlays). Tsuka with Samè in stingray leather and black Tsuka-ito. Beautiful iron Menuki worked in relief to depict O-Zutsu matchlock cannons (larger version of Japanese muzzle-loading cannons from the 16th-19th centuries) with the inscription ‘雷驚百里’ gold inlaid, meaning "the sound of the cannon shot echoes for a hundred miles". These cannons are in the style of 1850 and Menuki with this motif are extremely rare. Saya with Ishimeji-nuri grainy lacquer finishing (small signs of use and time) enriched with plant-form designs in glossy lacquer. Sageo (later) in mustard-coloured fabric. Edo period.
