length 34 cm.
Kanmuri-otoshi-zukuri (Nagasa 21.9 cm). Visible hamon and Hada. Nakago with one Mekugi-ana. Mumei. Minor Kizu. 19th-century Koshirae with copper Habaki, bearing traces of gilding. Small oval Tsuba in brass, decorated with longitudinal grooves. Fuchi in copper-colored metal, decorated with bamboo and Tatewaku (a traditional motif depicting rising steam and clouds). Kashira in irogane (copper?) browned and stippled, with gilt details and double family crest: “Maruni-tate-futatsuhiki” and “Sasa-rindo.” Tsuka with Samé (stingray skin) and white silk Tsuka-ito. Menuki partially gilded. Saya in wood, lacquered Ishime-nuri (stone-effect finish) in black with slight reddish stippling. Accompanied by a Kozuka without Kogatana and a Kogai in brass. Edo period.
