length 53.5 cm.
Long, smoothbore, two-stage, first square and then multi-faceted, 12.5 mm cal barrel with the signature ‘LAZARINO COMINAZZO’ between clovers on the powder chamber (see ‘Brescian Firearms’ by Nolfo di Carpegna, Rome 1997, pp. 253-57); small moulded muzzle. Flintlock, plate signed ‘BRAIDA MODONA’, with floral engraving in the centre, tang with bas-relief mask; hammer and batterie base decorated with scrolls. Full wooden stock (small defects and minor repairs to the butt). Iron mounts soberly engraved and carved with scrolls and grotesques. Wooden ramrod with iron castings and turned baluster head.
