length 84,5 cm.
Slightly curved blade, with fuller along almost its entire length and featuring a thin groove next to the back in the middle section. Slight pitting. Length 70.7 cm. Bronze-coloured metal hilt with traces of old gilding. Pierced rain guard with flat guard. Two additional, counter-curved guard branches supporting a medallion featuring an armour trophy and flags surmounted by a Phrygian cap and within a horn. Long, smooth cap. Wooden handle with woodworm holes. Old brown leather covering with copper wire binding. Scabbard with leather probably of old production (cracking) equipped with brass mounts with two lugs. The cap also with a small button. Of the type known as ‘Petit Montmorency’. Typically from the French Revolution period.
