length 81,5 cm.
Slightly curved blade, with fuller along almost its entire length and with a thin groove next to the spine in the middle section. Slight pitting. Length 68.3 cm. Brass hilt. Partially openwork rain guard decorated with a mesh pattern on one side and eagle-headed quillons. Three-loop guard, the main one worked with cords and partially perforated, the other two arranged to form a perforated shell inside which there is a lion holding a pike surmounted by a Phrygian cap. Long smooth cap. Handle with old brown leather covering with copper wire binding. With a probably later leather scabbard, fitted with brass mounts. Tip with a small iron knuckle guard. Two movable lugs. With a guard of the type known as ‘Petit Montmorency’. Typically from the revolutionary period.
