Straight double-edged blade with twin narrow fuller along the center. One side decorated with racemes and the figure of a Scottish soldier above the inscription “92 HIGHLANDERS”; remains of a brass maker’s stamp (possibly restored) near the tang. The reverse side similarly engraved with scrolls, the royal crown surmounting the monogram “VR” and the number “92”, with remnants of a London maker’s mark near the base. Iron basket hilt pierced with various motifs, mainly hearts, retaining its red-dyed leather liner. Grip covered in fish skin with twisted wire binding,. Mushroom-shaped pommel with fabric tassel. Leahter scabbard (apparently antique), with iron mounts and two lugs.
