José Altafini's autographed card featuring an AC Milan jersey published by Topps for the "AC Milan 125th Anniversary" set. José Altafini was a Brazilian-born Italian striker. Born in Piracicaba on July 24, 1938, he enjoyed a highly successful football career, playing for major clubs in Brazil, Italy, and Switzerland, and representing both the Brazilian and Italian national teams. Altafini began his career at Palmeiras in Brazil, where he played from 1956 to 1958, scoring an impressive number of goals. In 1958, he moved to Milan, Italy, where he spent seven successful seasons. With the Rossoneri, he won two Scudetti (1958–59 and 1961–62) and a European Cup (1962–63), scoring a decisive brace in the final against Benfica. With 161 goals in 246 games, he is the fourth highest scorer in AC Milan's history.
