Luka Modrić (born 9 September 1985 in Zadar) is a Croatian footballer, midfielder for Real Madrid and the Croatian national team. Considered one of the best midfielders of all time, during his career he wore the shirts of Dinamo Zagreb, Tottenham and Real Madrid, winning three consecutive Croatian championships (2005-2006, 2006-2007, 2007-2008), two Croatian Cups (2006-2007, 2007-2008), one Croatian Super Cup (2006), three Spanish championships (2016-2017, 2019-2020, 2021-2022), two King's Cups (2013-2014, 2022-2023), four Spanish Super Cups (2012, 2017, 2020, 2022), five UEFA Champions Leagues (2013-2014, 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2021-2022), four UEFA Super Cups (2014, 2016, 2017, 2022 ) and five FIFA Club World Cups (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022). On an individual level he established himself in 2018, winning the Ballon d'Or.
