Andreas Brehme (Hamburg, 9 November 1960) is a German football manager and former footballer, who played as a midfielder. With the German national team he was world champion in 1990, as well as vice-world champion in 1986. Considered one of the strongest full-backs of his generation, after his debut in Barmbek-Uhlenhorst and Saarbrücken he played for five seasons in Kaiserslautern and for two in Bayern Munich, with whom he won a German championship (1986-1987) and a German Super Cup (1987); he then moved to Inter, winning a Scudetto (1988-1989), an Italian Super Cup (1989) and a UEFA Cup (1990-1991) in the space of four years. Returning to Kaiserslautern after a period at Real Zaragoza, he wore the shirt of the German club for another five seasons, with which he won a German Cup (1995-1996), a second division championship (1996-1997) and, as a supporting player, a further edition of the Bundesliga (1997-1998). He was part of the national team before and after German reunification, totaling 86 appearances and 8 goals.
