Information
Manipulated polaroid mounted on original cardboard
cm 10,8 x 8,8 | 4.3 x 3.5 in.
Unique work
Dated in black ink with photographer's credit stamp on the verso and titled, signed and dated in pencil on the passepartout recto
The Modenese photographer Franco Fontana is more internationally known for his unique way of interpreting landscapes through the use of color. However, an interesting parallel path he has followed is his creative intervention with Polaroid as a plastic material. This is demonstrated in this work, where the manipulations are evident, aimed at achieving a result that is pleasantly painterly.
