h 18 cm Weight 396 g
Decorated with oak leaves and raised borders, the lid’s finial formed as a medallion engraved with a heraldic shield. Inside concealing two miniature roosters, finely engraved in realistic detail. At the base, at the junction with the stand, an amethyst-colored cabochon.
Marked with the silversmith “CA3”, the assayer “B.C.” (Viktor or Veniamin Vasilievich Savinsky or Vladimir Stepanovich Smirnov), 1870, 84 zolotniki, and the St. Petersburg city mark.
