Provenance
Purchased in 1979 from an antique dealer in Via Margutta in Rome and since then in the same Ranieri-Curto collection to be inherited by the current owners.
In the Ranieri Curto collection the canvas, restored by Marcello Lanci, was attributed to Trophime Bigot on the basis of an opinion reported to the owners by Professor Giuliano Briganti, after having viewed the painting.
