Specialist Notes

Second edition of this important work on Naples, featuring numerous illustrations and coats of arms of the principal noble Neapolitan families, and enriched with information on local customs, the region, and illustrious figures. Among the first descriptive works dedicated to the Kingdom of Naples, it is particularly significant for the 1561 census, conducted town by town, thus representing an invaluable testimony to demographic history.
