Specialist Notes
An interesting historical-philological and literary study on the origins and ancient site of Partenope. According to Melzi, the true author of the work was Giacomo Martorelli , a friend of Vargas. A second volume on the "Euboeans" (present here) was published in 1773, and of a third volume, which was intended to deal with the "Attics," only 19 pages were printed.
