With two folded plates, numerous woodcut coats of arms, lossless tears on both plates, browning, foxing, light water staining, and a few small wormholes, contemporary parchment binding, handwritten title on the spine, library paper insert on the front cover. Bookplate by Ugo Ojetti.
Specialist Notes
Provenance: This copy belonged to the famous writer and art critic Ugo Ojetti. The elegant paper bookplate on the inside cover, depicting Pierrot attempting to reach the moon, was created in the 1920s by the painter Oscar Ghiglia, of whom Ugo Ojetti was a great supporter.
