A sought-after first edition, rarely found complete, of this esteemed history of the Kingdom of Naples from the 15th century to the contemporary age; in Vol. I we find a detailed and interesting description of the city of Naples, with all the ancient buildings, the ancient state of these regions that took the form of a Kingdom; in Vol. II the average state of the Kingdom. and the very new state; in Vol. III the average state of the Kingdom of Naples. and the very new state. De Sariis was born in Matera in 1750 and died around 1810. He was a jurist and historian of Basilicata, a Magistrate of the Grand Court of the Vicariate of Naples and, under Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, royal governor of San Valentino Torio, Sorrento and Pozzuoli. His name is linked to the publication of several important historical and legal works.
