Original painting made by Boccasile for the "Exhibition of the Fascist Revolution" held in Rome in 1942 on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the March on Rome, the artwork was used for posters and postcards to promote the event. Among the great founders of Italian poster art of the 20th century together with Dudovich and Mauzan, Boccasile imprinted his style during the 1930s and 1940s on the entire graphic imagery of the fascist regime, alternating propaganda and advertising works. Mussolini himself wanted him at his side in the years of the RSI, in this period his posters became famous icons for the fascist state which continued to fight alongside the Germans. It is said that the designer worked until the end, with the soldiers of the Italian SS standing guard around the room in which he developed his projects. Small dent on the left margin. Signed.
