Original illustration made by Boccasile in 1944 for the seventeenth-century story by Giulio Cesare Croce "Le sottilissime astutie di Bertoldo" (later integrated into the collection "Bertoldo, Bertoldino and Cacasenno"). One of Boccasile's very rare forays into editorial illustration, he who has always been counted among the great founders of Italian poster art of the 20th century. Signed.
