Original cover made by Pratt for Sgt. Kirk magazine n. 7, published by Ivaldi Editore in January 1968. Hugo Pratt brought the character of Corto Maltese to life with the legendary adventure titled "A Ballad of the Salty Sea," first published in episodes in Sgt. Kirk magazine from n. 1 to n. 20 between 1967 and 1969. This cover, presented here, is the first ever to feature Corto Maltese, made by Pratt for his first and most famous adventure. This artwork was recently published as the cover of the volume "The Birth of Corto Maltese: Hugo Pratt and Sgt. Kirk Magazine" by Lo Scarabeo in 2021. A museum piece, among the most iconic works of the entire production of the Master of Malamocco. Posting holes in the corners.
