Finarte, in collaboration with Urania Casa d'Aste, presents a special auction entirely dedicated to the world of comics, featuring over 250 works by the most influential Italian and international comic book artists.
The stars of this sale are the great European names of the ninth art: Milo Manara with his seductive heroines, Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri with a historic cover of the provocative Druuna, Carlo Jacono, the iconic cover artist for Segretissimo and Gialli Mondadori, Sergio Tisselli with his fascinating paintings of Indian tribes, Lucio Parrillo with his Dark Beauties, Sergio Zaniboni with his paintings depicting Diabolik and Eva Kant, Guido Crepax with his Valentina, and finally... Hugo Pratt with a collection of works of the highest quality, including the legendary cover that marks the birth of Corto Maltese.
The works are presented with accurate historical and critical documentation, which aims to present and enhance the individual lots in order to ensure their visibility and the best possible sales results.
The auction will be preceded by an exhibition in Milan, offering collectors the opportunity to carefully examine all the lots, presented and enhanced by the splendid setting of our exhibition venue.

Conditions of Sale
Finarte consolidates and renews its collaboration with Urania Casa d’Aste by preparing in synergy the next auction dedicated entirely to the original Tables and Illustrations by the great masters of comics.
The sale will take place in October in the prestigious Roman headquarters of Finarte, for which our experts are selecting works from the early 1900s to today, ranging from Disney tables to superheroes Made in USA, from great international masters to erotic tables, from illustrations of the early twentieth century to the cinematographic sketches.
The works will be presented in the catalog with an accurate historical-critical filing, which tends to present and enhance the individual lots in the best possible way to ensure their visibility and the best sales result. The auction will be preceded by an exhibition in Rome, to offer collectors the opportunity to carefully examine all the lots, presented and enhanced by the splendid setting of our exhibition site.
