Bust of an admiral in Restoration-era dress, in uniform with epaulettes, threads decorations, buttons with anchor, red sash, and Order of the Lily (Décoration du Lys). In a magnificent frame echoing the Order of the Lily on the sides, and enriched at the top and on the background by a two-anchor coat of arms surmounted by crowns and on flags; the corners with floral decorations in bas-relief. On the back of the canvas, a non-entirely legible inscription "Peint par M.lle de Magny en 1828.....".
