Working mechanism. Frame dated "18740". Smoothbore, wooden grip scales of much later manufacture. Grip with lanyard ring. Serial number "28xx" marked on the barrel. Arrow marks on the barrel pivot. The hook is not numbered. The grip and cylinder have a serial number matching the barrel but possibly re-stamped. Pitting, signs of use and time.
