A 6-1/2‘ rifled barrel (visible rifling, slight pitting inside), provided with high rib with complete US commercial marking ending in "...69 RUSSIAN MODEL". Calibre 44 Russian. Six shot cylinder. Working mechanism. Frame dated "18740". Smoothbore, wooden grip scales of much later manufacture. Grip with lanyard ring. Serial number "28xx" marked on the barrel. Arrow marks on the barrel pivot. The hook is not numbered. The grip and cylinder have a serial number matching the barrel but possibly re-stamped. Pitting, signs of use and time.
