20", rifled, round barrel (clean bore, visible rifling), featuring the manufacturer's mark in two lines (probably re-stamped) with patents dated March 1866 and October 1866 (sic), foldaway rear sight. Above the breech, marked “44 W.C.F.” Iron frame with screwed extractor lid guide. Second type lid, tapered at the back (slightly defective in the closure). Brass elevator. Working mechanism. Sling swivel on the left side. Walnut butt and fore-end. Iron mounts. Butt plate with loading gate (without ramrod inside). Tangs of the frame with model and serial number “47xxx”. Slight traces of browning. Pitting on the lever. Restorations.
