Straight, double-edged blade of hexagonal section, the base with fuller on both sides and with the inscription "VIVA FERDINANDO IV / REY. POR LA GRACIA DE DIO.". Gilded bronze hilt (missing parts of finishing) with heart-shaped rain guard, straight quillons and two arms of the hilt. Flattened, spherical pommel with button. Gilt bronze foil grip worked to imitate the wire binding. Black washed iron scabbard (missing areas of color), cap and chape made of gilded brass, the first with two lugs.
