Barrel with serial number matching the frame, cartridge rammer and barrel wedge also with matching but abbreviated serial number; six-shot cylinder with remains of the Texas-Mexico naval battle, still legible patent and serial numbers (also matching the frame). Working mechanism, three snaps, working safety lock to the trigger. Frame marked "COLTS PATENT" and serial number "101xxx", pin of the cylinder with abbreviated coeval serial number. Brass gripstraps with remains of silver plating, with coeval serial numbers. Trigger guard of large rounded type. Some pitting. Smooth, walnut grip.
