Octagonal, rifled, 14 mm cal. barrel (clean bore, clearly visible rifling), browning with damascus design, engraved at the base and with two gold frames (small missing part) and signed "KAVANAGH DUBLIN"; rear sight with two sight leaves, foresight. Frame with Pauly system opening, very fine engravings of a stag and floral motifs; the long tang engraved en suite. Backward spring lock signed "KAVANAGH" and engraved with a fawn in the countryside. The chamber can only be opened by means of the lever when the cock is cocked. Wooden, half stock with checkered grip. Iron mounts engraved with floral motifs. The end of the trigger guard is numbered "18622. Brass-tipped wooden ramrod with brass and iron cartridge extractors.
