Smoothbore, round, 12 cal. barrels (clean bores, small areas with pitting), browned and with engraved bases, the rib marked "The Automatic", "JAMES WOODWARD & SONS 64 ST. JAMES'S S.T LONDON", "MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTHS FLUID PRESSED STEEL” and number “2”; foresight; barrels marked “J. W&S WITH WHITWORTHS STEEL” on the underside and with serial number “43xx”. Wide tang engraved with "2" in gold, engraved with spirals and provided with a safety lock shaped as a fishtail. Forward spring lock plates marked "J. WOODWARD & SONS". Briarwood butt and fore-end with checkered hand support and grip. Steel mounts decorated en suite. Browned lever and trigger guard. When the lever is pressed all the way back, it opens the barrels and inserts the safety lock. The end of the trigger guard with matching serial number.
