Backward spring locks signed "PURDEY" and finely engraved with floral motifs. Briarwood butt and fore-end, with checkered hand support and grip. Iron mounts decorated en suite. Trigger guard with the typical Purdey opening barrels. the end of the trigger guard with serial number "86xx", which is on the barrels and the fore-end. The receiver marked "PURDEY PATENT'S".
