The Ropemakers' University of Rome was an ancient artisan guild ( universitas ) active in Rome, dedicated to the production of ropes. Historical documents, including statutes from 1642 preserved in the State Archives, testify to the existence and organization of this Venerable University and Company. This volume collects various versions of the Statutes, from 1642 to 1811.
