Rome, Francesco Gonzaga, 1711. On 2°. On the title page, coat of arms of Cardinal Imperiali engraved on copper, text in two columns, browning and foxing, contemporary binding, in parchment, on the smooth spine a tag with gold title, on the front cover a reinforcement.

First edition of the library of Cardinal Giuseppe Imperiali (1651-1737) describing over 25,000 works, arranged by author and subject, with a section dedicated to “De re culinaria” with works by Apicius, Vincenzo Cervio, François Varenne, Bartolommeo Scappi and Baptista Platina.
