Specialist Notes
A rare first edition of this masterpiece, with its impressive iconography from the late Italian Baroque period, blends technical treatises, Marinist poetry, and chivalric culture, offering a unique perspective on the equestrian world of the Kingdom of Naples. Divided into five books, the work addresses topics such as horsemanship, bridles, the variety of bits, the complex routines in training arenas (the so-called "circles or vaults"), and veterinary medicine.
