Original comic art made by Magnus on page 5 of "The Painted Wall," a short story from the Enchanted Women series, first published in Dolce Vita magazine n. 1 in October 1987. A detail from the sixth panel was used as the cover of Dolce Vita magazine n. 12 in September 1988. Unanimously recognized as the Bolognese master's absolute masterpiece, Enchanted Women collects seven short stories focusing on the theme of femininity and inspired by a volume of late 17th-century Chinese tales. Magnus manages to infuse these panels with all his passion for Eastern culture and philosophy, his love and admiration for nature and for "his" women, as perfect and unattainable as they are seductive and ghostly when needed. A museum-worthy work that gives us the opportunity to appreciate like never before the love and effort Magnus poured into every single panel of his Enchanted Women. Note the very rare absence of photocopies. On two panels. Signed and initialed.
