GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Lancia Fulvia 1300 S is one of the most refined and technically advanced Italian coupés of its era, a perfect expression of Lancia's engineering tradition in the 1960s and 1970s. Derived from the Fulvia sedan, the Coupé version stood out for its elegant and sporty lines designed by Piero Castagnero, destined to become an icon of Italian automotive design. It was equipped with the characteristic 1,298 cc narrow 12° V4 engine, a typically Lancia technical solution that allowed for compactness and a very low center of gravity. The "S" version delivered approximately 90 hp, allowing for brilliant performance for a road-going coupé. It was front-wheel drive, a relatively rare choice for a sports car in the 1960s, but one that guaranteed excellent stability and steering precision. Weighing around 950 kg, the Fulvia 1300 S reached a top speed of approximately 170 km/h. From a technical and construction standpoint, the car stood out for its very rigid and lightweight body, independent front suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and premium interior trim for the category. The Fulvia Coupé also played a leading role in international rallies, culminating in the 1972 World Rally Championship victory with the HF version.
