Specialist Notes
In 1968 BMW returned to the six-cylinder engine for its flagship models with the launch of the 2500 and 2800 sedans along with the elegant 2800 CS coupé. Designated "E9", the latter was powered by the M30 engine from the 2800 sedan. In 1971 it was replaced with the 3000 CS, similarly styled but with numerous improvements, including four-wheel disc brakes in place of the old disc/disc combination. drum. With a lot of power available, around 180 hp, the 3.0 CS went over 210km/h. Our car, registered on 12 August 1971, was bought new by the Emilian publisher Malipiero. In 1981 it became part of the current owner's collection and the vehicle ceased circulation in 1994. The car is in good condition, never restored. The original interior is preserved in excellent condition. Before it can be used again, the car needs a major tune-up as it has not been used since 1994. The rear license plate is missing.
