Specialist Notes
In 1966 the 911 was launched in the S version which benefited from a series of modifications to the crankshaft, piston profile, and oversized valves. Externally the S was recognized by the Fuchs alloy wheels. In 1968, to make road behavior less "nervous", the wheelbase was lengthened by 6 cm (from 221 to 227 cm). In 1969 the rear grille and the engine displacement were changed: from 1991 to 2195 cc. The power rose to 180 hp for the S series (with fuel injection). This example was originally invoiced from the factory to an official Italian Porsche dealership on 25-06-1970, painted in “blood orange” color (2323 Blutorange), black leatherette interior, and Comfort set-up. The car is in excellent condition with completely rebuilt mechanics. Equipped with black plates of origin and a use and maintenance booklet, it has an ASI certificate and a certificate of origin from the parent company.
