Specialist Notes
In the early 1960s Ducati Meccanica of Bologna signed an agreement with Standard Triumph for an Italian production of the brand's cars. The contract was then not followed up and Ducati limited itself to importing the Triumphs and distributing spare parts, but very few cars were still assembled. They are recognizable by the rear logo. Like the car featured here, a real rarity. The Triumph Vitesse 6, chassis no. HB 9019 LDL is a two-door saloon model from 1964. Light blue with blue leather interior. Bodywork and seats have been restored. The restoration was carried out a couple of years ago. Part of the interior is preserved. The mechanics is preserved. It still has its original black plates (Brescia) and (pages) logbook. The car had only one owner, in its first 4 years of life, till 1968; when it became part of the Saottini Collection where it has remained for over 50 years. In excellent general condition, it requires a mechanical restoration, restoration of the front seat padding and some details. In the past, the Vitesse 6 has been somewhat forgotten so, today, this model has become rare and is becoming increasingly sought after. It is considered reliable and is eligible for many classic car competitions.
