Beautiful autographed and signed letter by Ugo Foscolo, 200 x 157 mm., addressed from London dated 24 September - Thursday 6 o'clock, to his friend Mammi, resident at Victoria Palace in Tavistock Square.
Specialist Notes
In the letter, Foscolo informs his friend that he has "procured a pupil for him who will employ you four times a week during the winter, at six shillings per lesson." As is well known, Ugo Foscolo moved to London in 1816, where he lived in financial difficulty until his death in 1827 in the suburb of Turnham Green.
