Autograph manuscript in black and red ink by Forzano (some captions are in another hand). Leaves 52, 37, 17, and 39 are not linked. Deletions and corrections in the text. The scene and action captions are often written in red ink. Dimensions: 290 x 220 mm.
Specialist Notes
It is known that Alessandro Varaldo wrote a novel titled La grande passione , which was made into a silent film in 1922, directed by Mario Almirante. However, Forzano and Varaldo's collaboration on this play is less well known. It is a comedy in three acts (with two versions of the third act and an incomplete first version). The protagonists are Patrizio and Maria, as in the film. An interesting document, well worth studying.
