Copy 177 of 999. Artcodex, Modena, 2009. The legend of the life of the two saints inspired by the models of the Byzantine martyrs. The manuscript is composed of two sections probably joined together at the beginning of the fourteenth century; only the story of the Passion of Margaret of Antioch is illustrated with miniature images that act as a visual commentary. Watermarked letters punctuate the text and 33 miniatures, as well as two figurative initials. Bound in silk velvet, lapis lazuli, silver and gold leaf. Complete reproduction in 23Kt pure gold. The work and the commentary (edited by Giovanna Lazzi) are kept in a blue box with a double compartment.
