Engravings from the Bodoni edition of the same name “The most notable paintings from Parma indicated to lovers of fine arts”. Parma, from the Bodoni printing house, 1809. The engravings of the compared copies all have uniform and corresponding numbers, while this series of engravings are on whole sheets of paper not bound and have a numbering that does not correspond to that of the aforementioned edition. This suggests that these engravings could be the preparatory ones for the work, where the numbering, and therefore the order, was later changed. This makes this lot precious and unique.
