London, Hodder and Stoughton, c. 1919. In 8vo. Half leather with cloth boards (the publisher's binding was full cloth, later leather reinforcement). Spine with 5 raised bands and with gilt title, illustrator and decorations. Front board richly decorated with gilt design depicting the likeness of a peacock and an elephant. English translation by Edward Fitzgerald. Edition illustrated by Edmund Dulac. 20 splendid colour plates, mounted on cream card with decorative border, each protected by tissue paper. A fine example, in excellent condition.
