Information

Rome, typis Ludouici Grignani, 1650. In 2°. Full parchment binding. Smooth spine with handwritten title and author in brown ink. Copperplate frontispiece designed by Giovanni Angelo Canini and engraved by Cornelis Bloemaert. On the frontispiece, the coat of arms of the dedicatee, Innocent X. Another plate with copperplate portrait depicting Innocent X. Woodcut initials and friezes. On a2 plate, dedication letter from the author to Pope Innocent X. Large copperplate folded several times between ff. d1 and d2. Full-page copperplates on ff. M1v, 2F1v, 2H2v, 2I2v, 2O3v. Copy in excellent condition, except for light browning.
