On the title page intaglio engraving with the coat of arms of the Count of Bronchorft supported by two putti engraved on copper, with 15 plates engraved on copper in the text, of which 10 on full page, woodcut headers and initials, coeval full parchment binding, cords, calligraphic title .

Second edition, to be preferred to the first of 1613 because it was enlarged with new and interesting chapters and new engravings, of this important work divided into four discourses which deal with the tasks of individual soldiers, cavalry and how to make it fight and the care of horses. The plates are very beautiful, in particular the five that depict soldiers on horseback, which make this work extremely valuable and sought after. See D'Ayala, p. 21.
